Machine identity and provenance

Keep recordUrl and entity @id values as stable provenance identifiers. Legacy location, group and highway HTML URLs under /entities/ permanently redirect (HTTP 301) to the corresponding interactive page. That page contains the complete history, relationships, sources and JSON-LD without requiring JavaScript. Follow redirects for HTML retrieval; use apiUrl or the JSONL catalogs for JSON. Keep original source links, creator credits, capture dates and checksums.

Human-facing links

Use interactiveUrl for clickable destinations and citations. Browse the locations, groups and highways directories. For generic Atlas, map or browse intent, link to the homepage. canonicalUrl is the preferred human/search page. Existing fields and aliases retain their values. Derivative responses use locationRecordUrl and locationInteractiveUrl.

For example: Mu Megabase on the interactive Atlas; Mu Megabase JSON data. The old record URL remains valid as a redirecting provenance reference.

Freshness and scope

API and MCP read published data on request. For precise current counts, use MCP get_dataset_stats. HTML and JSONL are snapshots refreshed with site publication; generatedUtc in the manifest gives their export time. Capture dates describe preserved snapshots, not founding or destruction dates; consult the linked historical sources for those claims. Nocom aggregates do not identify players or prove visits to a particular base.

Dates and pagination

MCP timestamp fields contain UTC instants or null when the original timezone is unknown; dateAddedRecorded retains the original text. REST keeps legacy dateAddedUtc for compatibility: use nullable dateAddedInstantUtc for an absolute instant. WDL exports preserve captureDate and captureDatePrecision; partial dates do not imply a day.

Page MCP group builds with get_group_builds(group_id, limit, offset). REST /api/warps exposes X-Total-Count and X-Next-Offset; an empty next offset ends enumeration. Pages are ordered consistently, but edits during enumeration may require a fresh pass. Missing MCP resource URIs return error -32002.

Usage and provenance

Atlas-authored dataset metadata and factual catalog records may be reused for any purpose without permission. Third-party media may retain separate terms from its original creator. Atlas attribution is optional and appreciated. Prefer interactiveUrl for human links; use recordUrl for machine identity and provenance. Retain original source links. NoCom Find data

Storage, captured sign histories, observed portals, cluster footprints and corroborated illegal spawners are available from the reviewed source products. Start area research with research_nocom_area, then use search_nocom_sign_history, get_nocom_sign_history or find_nocom_special_blocks for precise records. Daily NoCom maps and counts

Open daily World Pulse. Use get_nocom_daily_dataset or /api/nocom/hits for coverage, CSV exports and PNG map templates; get_nocom_daily_hits for UTC counts; find_nocom_daily_chunks for individual chunk records.
