Victor96 and other players began the original Gape excavation near spawn in early 2014. The project grew into a large pit with a castle-like fort, was attacked and later revived by a player using the name 2b2t. James_Rustles recounts taking part in the revival before another lavacast led the group to move on to Gape 2.0. The Archive preserves Gape 1.0 under September 10, 2014.

Compare saved worlds and maps
Use the interactive map to compare available render dates and inspect preserved terrain before downloading a world. Downloads are partial Minecraft Java saves. Capture dates describe saved worlds, not founding or destruction dates; historical terrain may differ from the server today. Captures marked as single-player concepts were not present on live 2b2t in that form.
